Diorama

Behind the 1820’s John Nash designed façade, Louis Daguerre, who was credited with early innovation in photography, built an early proto-cinema building known as the Diorama. The Grade I Listed building has since undergone numerous changes of use, including a Baptist Church and as part of the Middlesex Hospital.

For The Crown Estate we have designed a proposal to convert the building into six apartments and two houses, including the construction of a new penthouse apartment with a rooftop terrace featuring a sliding glass roof to enable the terrace to be converted into a winter garden.
